But this is not the only reason why prevention is so important: it also enables cancers to be detected at the earliest possible stage, which increases the chances of being cured and avoids having to undergo certain grueling treatments. Prevention initiatives promote early detection, reducing the incidence of some cancers (breast, cervical and bowel).

COS does not provide services exclusively to cancer patients.
